Referencing the evaluation of the final drawing, after the creation of the Mandala, Fincher says, "Flowers may symbolize a quickening personal growth cycle...fulfillment of your goal...ready to reveal souls work." 

I was also interested in learning why one might be inclined toward asymmetry in the drawing. In my search I discovered Maureen, The Mandala Lady at Mandala of the Month. She suggests that this asymmetry reflects feelings of inadequacy or lacking "enoughness" and discusses ways to "reverse this harmful thinking."
